Host Bob Gosse
Creative Director/Director Bob Gosse graduated from the film program at SUNY Purchase in 1986. After collaborating with Hal Hartley on several shorts and two of Hartley's feature films (Trust and the Unbelievable Truth), Gosse produced Laws of Gravity, Handgun, Another Girl, Another Planet, New Jersey Drive and The Last Home Run, which was also Gosse's directorial debut.
Gosse's most recent directorial effort, Niagara Niagara, starring Robin Tunney (The Craft, Tears of Julian Po) and Henry Thomas (E.T., Legends of the Fall) competed in the Main Competition of the 1997 Venice Film Festival as one of the only two American representatives accepted into that year's festival. Tunney, who plays a misfit afflicted with Tourette Syndrome, walked away with the award for Best Actress. Most recently, Gosse adapted Alec Wilkinson's non-fiction novel, A Violent Act, for the screen. Shooting is scheduled to commence in the Summer of 1998. Niagara, Niagara opens March 20th in NY & LA. |
